Sistema Fellows visit iCAN in Santa Barbara

Following the Take a Stand Conference, the Sistema Fellows visited iCAN in Santa Barbara for an afternoon of music-making. An El Sistema-inspired initiative at Franklin Elementary, iCAN's music Program Director is Xóchitl Ysabela Tafoya, a former Sistema Fellow.

Here you will see the students performing "Star Wars," a piece they requested to learn upon arriving that day. After a 1.5 hour collaborative workshop, the students performed for each other and parents.
